Course Description

Transportation systems have a large impact on local ecosystems and global environmental conditions. This course describes the variety of impacts, traces attempts to mitigate those impacts, and identifies prospects for change achieved by technology, transportation management, and pricing. By the end of the course, you will gain knowledge of strategies to reduce the impact of the global transportation system on the environment.

This course concludes by examining how climate change will impact transportation infrastructure.
