John Hersey

John is an accomplished planner with nearly two decades of experience critically evaluating and advancing transit-oriented development as a nonprofit advocate, transit-agency staff, university instructor, and consultant to cities and developers. John earned a bachelor’s degree in sustainable urban planning and a master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst as well as a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of Maryland at College Park, concluding each course of study with an investigation of opportunities to promote transit-oriented development in downtown suburban contexts.
