This course is the third in a four-part series on urban sustainability appraisal tools as collaboration platforms and sustainability accelerators for communities. This course covers assessment and rating tools like LEED for Neighborhood Development, Enterprise Green Communities, Living Community Challenge, and SITES. Each of these tools will be examined in terms of topical scope and physical scale of appraisal, appraisal procedures and criteria, cost to use, available user support, tool maturity and market impact, and overall usefulness. At the conclusion of this course, you will be familiar with these characteristics as they relate to planned neighborhood and landscape tool options.
This course is approved for 1.5 AICP CM credits.
