Course Description

In this course we will learn how to use Python to conduct basic data analyses and create attractive visualizations. In the previous course, we explored how to get Python set up on our computers. Now we’ll learn how to load data files, analyze the data with pandas, and visualize it with matplotlib.

It takes quite a while to work thru this course, especially if one tries to emulate the examples. If you take a break or want to go back to review, the kludgy Planetizen interface sometimes kicks you out to various other parts of the course. But the material is presented well, and the explanations clear. I would have appreciated clarification (maybe in a text handout) as to which is python, which is panda, which is jupyter... but I suppose I will figure that out as we proceed. By saving the notebook I sort of have notes about everything covered.
