This course will guide planners through a case study multi-family property valuation. The course will build upon previous course topics of time discounting, internal rate of return, net operating income, lease structures, debt payments, and risk assessment. Participants can expect to practice basic computer modeling functions that will facilitate present value and return calculations. The instructor addresses the connection between the planning regulatory framework and impacts to developer pro forma analyses and financial returns throughout the course.
