Course Description
Combining ArcGIS and Google Earth allow for a convenient, powerful way to create and share professional, accurate spatial visualizations of geographical analysis to a wide audience. This course recreates reviews of parcel sites for potential development using basemap, parcel, and zoning ArcGIS shapefiles that include cost-per-square-foot, and cost-per-parcel data. The data layers are prepped for sharing as KML for Google Earth. This course explores Google Earth functionality like sharing city data with the public and pre-visualizing by geo-referencing the virtual movement and space around potential development sites.
