Climate Action Planning
This track teaches how to write a climate action plan and introduces a process for developing and implementing local climate actions. The track provides a basic overview of concepts that can be supplemented with training in specific software, instruction on how to assess the impacts of climate change on local assets and populations, and strategies for achieving low-carbon communities. Students will learn the skills to create a climate change action plan that positively effect their communities. Course instructors Michael R. Boswell and Tammy Seale offer advice from their extensive backgrounds in climate change planning to recommend practical applications for planners. Each course in this track is approved for CNU-A and AICP CM credit.
