Thomas Hamed

Thomas Hamed, AICP is a transportation planner who specializes in commuter transportation and mobility for all. Currently a consultant specializing in federal commuter transportation, Thomas has also led mobility programs for both the City of Alexandria in Virginia, and for The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta. In all three roles, Thomas has led long-range planning efforts for large commuters, and made commuting safe for many audiences. For instance, Thomas led Alexandrians through their commuting options during multiple closures of their regional heavy rail system, guiding Alexandrians to alternatives (including a water taxi). Thomas is also on the advisory board of Helping Autistic Adults Perform an Excel (HAAPE), a 501(c)(3) that connects autistic adults to gainful employment. Thomas holds degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and American University, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
