Tim Halbur

Tim Halbur is passionate about cities. As Senior Marketing Specialist at Gensler, Tim leads marketing and business development for the firm's L.A. Planning and Urban Design studio. As Managing Editor of Planetizen.com from 2008 to 2011, he managed all aspects of the popular urban planning news website. While there, he authored 2 books (The Insiders Guide to Urban Planning, and the children's book Where Things Are, From Near to Far) and a 2-DVD set called The Story of Sprawl. More recently, Tim was Communications Director for The Congress for the New Urbanism, the nonprofit founded around the groundbreaking Charter of the New Urbanism authored in 1993.In his previous career, Tim created audio tours, podcasts and online videos for museums and historic sites.
