Christy Dodson

Christy is an Urban Designer at Code Studio, with a background in architecture and planning. Her work focuses on implementing creative zoning strategies that reduce development barriers for small-scale, community-driven projects with an emphasis on affordable housing and equitable development. Christy relies on her experience working at every stage of the development process to bring together high-level policy goals with practical implementation. She teaches a popular graduate-level seminar at Georgia Tech on zoning fundamentals and best practices, and she has served as chair of the City of Atlanta Zoning Review Board since 2020. Christy holds a Master of City and Regional Planning and a Master of Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology, where she also received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
