Real Estate Finance for Planners

In this six-course track, course instructor Menka Sethi teaches development feasibility in context of the regulatory environment and the relationship between urban planning and real estate development. The track introduces planners to the concept of time value of money, property cash flow analysis (the foundation for real estate pro forma analysis), basic concepts of real estate debt, office property valuation, and multi-family property valuation. Students will use Excel to practice basic computer modeling functions and end the track with an understanding of the real estate finance concepts related to planning. Each course in this track is approved for CNU-A and AICP CM credit.
