Learn How To Draw

Drawing for urban design and field sketching are essential skills for planners who want to make observations about a landscape and understand the contextual clues offered by the built environment. “Learn How To Draw” is a four course track intended to give students the skill and confidence to create their own drawings of the built environment. By the end of this course, students will draw lines and contours, understand perspective, and accurately render tone and value. Follow Darryl Jones around the San Francisco Bay Area as he teaches basic sketching techniques and more advanced painting skills. Each course in this track is approved for AICP CM credit.
