Chris Williamson

Chris Williamson is Principal Planner for the City of Oxnard, California with responsibility for the 2030 General Plan, Housing Element, Local Coastal Plan, Climate Action Plan, and Energy Planning. He teaches population studies, climate change, environmental impact analysis, and land use management at Cal State University Channel Islands and was previously an Adjunct Associate Professor of Planning and GIS at the University of Southern California. In the 1980’s, he worked at the Census Bureau as a geographer and survey statistician. Chris holds a PhD in Planning and Policy Analysis from the University of Southern California, a Masters in Planning from the University of Virginia, a BS in Geography from The Pennsylvania State University, and was a Fulbright Scholar on German population issues.
