Pete Sullivan

Pete Sullivan, AICP, is Manager of Durham's Development Services Center, in Durham, North Carolina. In this role Pete works with cross-departmental teams to make customer service and development review more streamlined and user-friendly. Prior to joining the City, Pete was Senior Associate with Clarion Associates, in Chapel Hill, NC, where he specialized in zoning & land use regulation and digital publication. Pete has helped communities throughout the east coast modernize development regulations, streamline business processes, improve community form, and create more diverse and affordable housing options. Pete is Co-Chair of the Communications and Public Affairs Committee of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association, and an occasional contributor to Planetizen. His project work been recognized by the Washington State Governor’s Office, Puget Sound Regional Council and Washington State Chapter of the American Planning Association.
