Kimberly Burton

Kimberly Burton, P.E., AICP CTP, LEED AP ND, is the President of Burton Planning Services and an Assistant Professor of Practice in City and Regional Planning at the Ohio State University. She received a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 1999 and master's degree in City and Regional Planning in 2002, both from the Ohio State University. She is a professional engineer (P.E.), certified planner (AICP), certified transportation planner (CTP), and LEED Accredited Professional in Neighborhood Development (LEED AP ND).    

Ms. Burton has over 15 years of experience working in the public sector for state and local agencies and in the private sector for multi-disciplinary consultants through which she has developed a broad range of planning experience, including transportation planning, community planning, economic development, environmental studies, and public involvement. Her career in practice and in academia has focused on how to develop sustainable community connections.
