Course Description
Equitable transit oriented development (eTOD) prioritizes inclusive community development in a multimodal regional growth model. While U.S. cities have practiced transit oriented development since the late 19th century, eTOD has gained traction in the 21st century as communities, cities, and regions work to manage gentrification, mitigate displacement, and encourage transit ridership.
The “Equitable Transit Oriented Development” course will summarize the tenets of TOD before considering the far-reaching benefits of eTOD, the financial and regulatory tools that advance eTOD, exemplary eTOD projects, and resources to promote eTOD in your community.
